7 deadly race riots in America in the last century that had the most Black casualties

From what is believed to be the first recorded riot in America – the Cincinnati riot of 1829 – the nation has repeatedly recorded several incidences of race riots.

Most of these riots have involved mostly African-Americans and the whites over such issues as jobs and crime-related subjects.

In many of these riots throughout history, the larger numbers of casualties have been blacks or the African-American communities.

Khalil Gibran Muhammad, the Director of the Harlem-based Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, has identified more than 100 instances of mass racial violence in the United States since 1935 and has noted that almost every instance was precipitated by a police incident.

Today, the stories have been cases of racially-incited brutalities, shootings and killings of black people by law enforcers in America, with little or just a handful of the suspects being prosecuted. In many instances, these suspects have been left off the hook, with no justice served the families of their victims.
