5 reasons why Melania Trump should unpack and educate herself on issues affecting American children, leave Africa alone

This week began with news that the U.S. First Lady, Melania Trump will be travelling solo to Africa this year.

“This will be my first time travelling to Africa and I am excited to educate myself on the issues facing children throughout the continent, while also learning about its rich culture and history,” the first lady said in a statement.

It is currently not clear the first country in Africa the U.S. first lady will visit, but her communications director has said that Stephanie Grisham, the White House “will release details in the coming weeks.”
