The lure of 15-seconds of fame was too much for Eric Rivers, a bank robbery suspect in Georgia, US.
Rivers, who had robbed a number of banks in the area in his signature cap and a do-rag, could not resist the temptation of appearing on TV to give his comment about the state of transport in the county.
The police compared his face on the screen with the images they had captured on CCTV cameras and confirmed he was the robber.
According to reports, the interviewer confirmed to the police officers that Rivers had asked to remove his cap and do-rag before the interview. Apparently, he was scouting the area for more banks to rob.
Rivers was apprehended.
