This is one of the hit songs by prominent Somali singer, guitarist and theatrical performer. His first mainstream song was Hadaad diido hadalkayga in 1974. Starting music at a very young age, Samatar has a musical collection of over 200 songs and has performed several duets with other popular Somali artists, including Saado Cali and Khadija Qalanjo.
In 2010, the 65-year-old received a lifetime achievement award from leaders of the Somali community in Minneapolis. The Saylo hitmaker currently spends his time in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Amsterdam, Netherlands, and continues to tour.
