Food is a big part of every country’s culture. In Mozambique, their cuisines have rich Portuguese and some Arabic influence. Their meals are full of flavours and spices that are mostly grown and harvested from their rich agricultural landscape.

Sea food lovers are not left out of the equation as there is a vibrant sea food life in the country. Staples like cassava, Paozinho and cashew nuts were introduced to the country when Portuguese ports were established. Mozambique also has spices and seasonings such as onions, garlic, paprika, chili pepper, bay leaves, wine and red peppers.
