There sat the lion with the lamb,
T’was a grim spectacle to behold.
They came in their hundreds, they came in their thousands,
Came sadistic beings, horror to enthrone.
Beaded being, chalked human,
Pressed metal of death ‘pon the throat.
Eyes of demons, breath of Satan,
The lion let spill fluids uncontrolled.
Metaphorical verse, chagrin of Africa,
The very words I was told by the old.
They came, they ate, they plundered,
She weeps now, widowed.
They came in their thousands,
Their fortunes to seek.
And the norms, the customs, the lands?
They die, they burn, they reek.
