African countries with ridiculous number of legislators and famous for the wrong reasons

The revelation that South Sudanese members of parliament are receiving $16million to buy luxury cars had many people wondering why the newest African nation had 400 MPs.

South Sudan is dealing with the aftermath of a civil war and at least 1.7 million people are suffering from hunger and starvation. The question of the number legislators and the amount of money spent on them has raised concerns about South Sudan’s priorities.

Sadly, South Sudan is not the only country with too many legislators who have been accused of shameful and embarrassing acts.  Here are other countries:
