These African footballers are investing heavily in education back home

Asamoah Gyan

 

Asamoah Gyan, a Ghanaian professional footballer last year unveiled a sports complex at his former school, Accra Academy in Ghana. The project was reported to have cost GH₵700,000 ($153,601) and it was his way of giving back to his former school. The project is to unearth students with football talents to take after him. Gyan plays as a striker for Kayserispor and captains Ghana’s national team.
