After brushes with death, Rick Ross partners with health platform Jetdoc to reduce healthcare costs

Rick Ross is not only known for his rap music but also as an entrepreneur. He is the founder of record label “Maybach Music Group” and now he is venturing into a business enterprise outside music.

The rapper and entrepreneur is joining Jetdoc as an equity partner, advisor and spokesperson. Jetdoc is a revolutionary digital healthcare platform that connects users to licensed healthcare professionals.

In his new role with Jetdoc, Rick Ross will appear in creative campaigns, digital and television ads and other promotional activations designed to educate and inform consumers of this innovative new offering in healthcare, a press release from the tech firm said.

The rapper also appeared on Good Morning America explaining why he partnered with Jetdoc. According to him, he has had several health challenges including long term seizures.

“That’s what’s really driving me,” he said. “The fact that I’ve had a seizure — And I’ve woke up from being unconscious on the toilet before. And I never even spoke on this before, but, I suffered from seizures for a long time.”

Founded by healthcare veteran and entrepreneur Tommy Duncan, Jetdoc provides affordable virtual healthcare with instant access to telehealth sessions with board-certified doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

Jetdoc users can visit a healthcare professional for just $20 bucks for a one-time virtual urgent care visit, while $10 will get one monthly membership.

Jetdoc members will also get a free Jetdoc DiscountRx Card for up to 85% off retail prices for prescription medication at most major retailer pharmacies. The platform is currently in beta mode and is servicing the patients in Florida, while a nationwide rollout is slated for 2021.

According to Duncan, the partnership with Rick Ross sets the new standard for the virtual doctor visit—one that provides simple, reliable, and private care at the speed and ease the modern world demands. He also adds that Jetdoc works to not only alleviate patients’ financial burdens but also improve access to both preventative and urgent care.
