Black Panther may be several months old, but still, Wakanda forever! Over the weekend, about 2,000 fans of the Marvel comic and Hollywood blockbuster film converged in Chicago for the first-ever WakandaCon.
The highly patronized and activity-filled event saw attendees dressed up in their favourite character costumes with most of them absolutely nailing it!
In an interview about WakandaCon with ABC7 in Chicago, Ali Barthwell, a co-founder of the event said, “We’re celebrating black people, we are looking toward our future, we are asking people how can we make Wakanda real,”
