ConceptLink Embarks on Study of Common Challenges for Africa-Interest Nonprofits

October 23, 2012 — ConceptLink is developing an in-depth study aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of the unique challenges of nonprofit organizations working in Africa, specifically with regard to fundraising, communications, and international program management. The study, curated from interviews with Africa-interest nonprofits throughout the US, will be released officially early 2013.

ConceptLink is a social impact strategy firm that helps Africa-interest organizations effect change in their communities. ConceptLink’s CEO, Jerryanne Heath, explained the motivation behind the study: “Few studies exist that focus specifically on US-based international organizations and their unique needs in the nonprofit sector. Our final report will fill an information void by offering valuable insights on Africa-interest groups located in the US.”

The study began earlier this year, and ConceptLink is currently interviewing Executive, Development, or Communications Directors at eligible organizations. The study will remain open for additional participants until November 2012. 501c3-registered nonprofits throughout the US are invited to contribute, provided they have programs or services in at least one African country.
Organizations who participate will be entered into a drawing for $1,000 worth of free consulting services from ConceptLink.

To register for the study, submit a form on ConceptLink’s website. For questions, contact ConceptLink’s Marketing & Account Manager, Whitney Bonham, at whitney@conceptlink.com.
Outreach Partners for the study include the Segal Family Foundation, Africa.com, and Face2FaceAFrica.
