#ConnoisseurAfrica Kicks Off NYFW|Africa with Tastemakers Africa September 10

Why: Connoisseur Africa curates accessible experiences for Africa aficionados to come together and partake in immersive content rich experiences that showcase the happenings in business, art, culture, and history (in one night), while shedding light on how we can all take part starting today.
What: Connoisseur.Life and AlleyNYC have partnered up to host, Connoisseur Africa (#ConnoisseurAfrica), a new series that showcases premier African start-ups and entrepreneurs changing the game on the continent and in the Diaspora. Connoisseur Africa brings together an eclectic and inspiring mix of influencers, creatives, entrepreneurs, and Africa aficionados. Their first mixer kicks off New York Fashion Week | Africa on September 10 at 7 pm and features travel start-up, Tastemakers Africa. Tastemakers Africa (TSTMKRS) is single-handedly changing the game of travel and exploration across the vast continent with underground dining experiences in Accra, VIP rooftop access in Nairobi, rural escapes packed with authenticity, and more.

At Connoisseur Africa, TSTMKRS Founder, Cherae Robinson, will debut the sneak preview of Wàllá Dá, a documentary that provides a brief look into the new age of African exploration while traveling through Ghana and following 5 of the continent’s most dynamic young creatives: Yagazie Emezi of Nigeria, Velma Rossa of Kenya, Twiggy Moli and Sedi Ramone of South Africa, and Maame Adjei of Ghana. Attendees can meet the TSTMKRS team and feature creatives from Wàllá Dá at Connoisseur Africa.
