Manu Dibango
Known as “Pappy Grove”, Manu Dibango was confirmed dead in the early hours of Tuesday by his family.
According to BBC, Dibango had contracted coronavirus while he was in Paris. He was 86 years old at the time of his death.
With his trademark saxophone, he blends funk and traditional music to make a unique sound. He was regarded as the pioneer of Afro-Jazz.
