Five black poets who have captured the sad reality of being a refugee

Refugees flee their home for many reasons, one of which is to be safe from the insecurity and civil wars in their countries.

Although some of these refugees have stayed in camps over the years, others have had the chance to go to other countries to carve out a new life for themselves.  But one thing is constant, the longing for home and the yearning for reunion with their family members.

They also experience the anxiety that comes with adjusting to new spaces, especially at the time where migrants are treated as a dangerous burden.

Here are five black poets on the reality of being a refugee.
