Although it has been connected to animism and fetishism, voodoo is a religion that is rooted in the worship of nature and ancestors. It believes that the dead and the living exist side by side, and people can access them through the deities. It also believes that the good and bad get a reward and punishment respectively.

Voodoo also involves healing using herbal medication, prayer and meditation as we all rituals for the gods.
