From death row, drug peddling and homelessness, they never gave up and succeeded academically

Growing up they struggled with life challenges including homelessness, drug trading and many other societal vices. But they refused to fall off. They stayed determinedly hungry and fought their way through to succeed academically giving credence to the saying “the past is not the future.”

Some have been role models for others who almost gave up along the line. Their stories are captivating.

In this article, Face2face Africa looks at some of such inspiring figures and their stories.
