Global Christian Event Network Expo Press Release

BROOKLYN, New York, Jan. 23, 2012

The Global Christian Event Network, Inc. announced nominations today for its 1st Annual Christian Ministry Awards recognizing the year's best in different areas of ministry. The CMA Awards cover 8 categories which includes Pastor of the Year, Church Choir of the Year, Gospel Artiste of the Year, Christian Media, Event of the Year, Ministry of the Year, Youth Group and Young Entrepreneur. Nominations are currently open, and may be submitted to http://www.gcenexpoawards.com/awards/nominate-2/ through February 8th. Nominees will be announced, and voting will begin on February 15th.

"We are really excited about the list of nominations which has set apart this award from the usual ones." said Gbenga Omotayo , President GCEN – NY.  "All of the major areas of Christian ministry previously ignored are well represented here. “This year’s categories will have nominees who have impacted our lives through the act of selfless service by engaging their God given talents “They also shed light on serious social concerns within our society today through their individual actions.”

The 2012 GMA Award winners will be announced on Saturday, March 17, 2012, during the closing gala at the GCEN Ministry Expo + Awards in Brooklyn, NY. According to the spokesperson for GCEN Inc, ‘This event will provide networking platform for Christian ministries, businesses and individuals seeking valuable contacts’. Major highlights of this event include an exhibition of businesses, ministries, charities, and suppliers. Attendees will include Pastors, Ministers, Entrepreneurs, Not for profits, as well as the general public.

Statuesque Events, a creative event design and production company who’s work has been featured in AfroElle Magazine, eHow, Face2Face Africa and more will be the official event planning firm for the event. They are excited about teaming up with GCEN through the planning, decorating and coordination of the event.

The day begins at 12:00pm with an exhibition of Christian ministries and not-for-profits organizations as well as relevant businesses which services the Christian community. Running concurrently will be class seminars and panels covering areas such as Social Media tools in ministry, Starting a Ministry/Business, Ministry Branding, Church Marketing, Youth and Purpose Discovery. 

The awards ceremony follows at 5:00 pm in the Gold Room. The CMA Awards black-tie ceremony will feature a lively mix of entertainment, celebrity presenters and comedic talent to celebrate Christian ministries’ best of the best.  All events will be held at Brooklyn College Student Center. Limited time free and discounted tickets are available through February 28th, or when the tickets at this rate sell out. Sandra Appiah is the Chief Operating Officer at Face2Face Africa.
