Sometimes, interracial couples tend to have difficulties in communication as both cultures might have different ways of expressing themselves.
More about this
For instance, an African partner may feel he is expressing his love to his white partner when he does favours for her or asks for her advice instead of using the three words “I love you” but his partner may not think so. These and many other things may lead to misunderstandings and if both partners are not able to effectively communicate their feelings, the relationship will not end well.
There will also be linguistic differences, as in, one word in a partner’s language may mean something else to the other’s native language. A partner can overcome this is by developing a clear understanding of the language of their significant other.
