You may have resolved to lose weight, quit smoking, exercise more, spend less time on social media this new year.

These may sound familiar as you may have made similar goals years ago but were unable to achieve them. Experts say being successful at keeping resolutions improves one’s life and add more years to their age.

But forming new habits and creating change take a lot of time and hard work. Psychologists say if one is able to make that change a routine after six months, they are sure to keep at their resolution.
