American rapper and business mogul Jay-Z, real name Shawn Corey Carter, has described United States President Donald Trump as a superbug for his alleged remark referring to Haiti and African nations “shithole countries”.
Jay-Z said during an interview on CNN’s “The Van Jones Show” on Saturday that “everyone feels anger, but after the anger, it’s really hurtful because he’s looking down on a whole population of people and he’s so misinformed because these places have beautiful people.”
“You don’t take the trash out. You keep spraying perfume over it to make it acceptable and then, you know, as those things grow, then you create a superbug. And then now we have Donald Trump, the superbug,” he explained.
The rap icon was quick to add that Trump “is a human being, too. Somewhere along his lineage, something happened to him. And he’s in pain and he’s expressing it in this sort of way.”
This did not go unheeded by the president who tweeted on Sunday: “Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!”
Statistical reports indicate that the unemployment rate for black Americans is at 6.8%, which is the lowest rate in 45 years. However, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the rate of black Americans out of work has steadily dropped since 2014.
