Poem: Ideal Man

As much as there are great Fathers, they are also a lot of unfocused young men, men with myopic mind-sets who don’t see beyond the present and have no insight to the future. Everyone wants to be celebrated as a Father and gain the respect of manhood, but just as with every good thing in life, there’s a process and a relative attitude. This poem is dedicated to real men striving for excellence, young achievers, effective leaders, faithful disciples, good Fathers, great husbands, nice bosses, diligent staffs, passionate volunteers, missionaries, and all men with great potential.

He sticks to a task like it’s his last…
He’s focused and deliberate, well trained and vast…
Committed to his responsibilities, persistent, and realistic…
With a big picture mentality, he stays confident and optimistic..
Not terrified of greatness; not too proud to begin small…
He gathers experiences and cherishes his relationships above all…
With a pure heart he runs toward his goals focused on a task…
Truthful and honest, he doesn’t hide behind a mask…
Doesn’t waste his time on unproductive blathers and conversations…
Listens more than he talks; self-motivated still open to other opinions…
A committed teacher, flexible, and responds to inquiries with a cheerful countenance…
Analytical and non-judgmental in his response, with wisdom, he makes his utterance…
He is reflective, collective, calculative yet swift…
Doesn’t procrastinate, he understands the price of excellence so he develops his gifts…
He’s not lazy and doesn’t plan to reap where he didn’t sow…
With hard work and productive inputs he desires to make his business grow…
Cuts his coats according to his size…
Understands cultures and values and he pays the price…
With devoutness and contentment, he lives a happy life…
Growing from one level to another, he respects his wife…
Putting away his childish mentality, growing in strength, virtue, and character…
He’s no longer a boy, he has grown into a man who desires to become better…
Young achievers, visionaries, committed students, faithful stewards, inspiring bosses, great husbands, caring Fathers from every race and clan…
You weren’t born mature — learning from mistakes, with humility, passion and patience

— you’ve grown into a MAN.
