Meghan Markle showed us once again why she is known as a champion of women’s causes when she paid a surprise visit to Robert Clack School in east London wearing all female designers.
Her visit was in honor of International Women’s Day, and the 38-year-old Duchess of Sussex was at the school to host an assembly about the importance of empowering women.
To send a message of female empowerment, Markle wore a look created by female designers. Her ME+EM bouclé blazer ($485) was created by UK-native founder Clare Hornby.
“Her Jennifer Chamandi Lorenzo suede pumps ($745) and cream-colored purse by Rejina Pyo ($386) were also from by two London-based, female-led companies, with the latter having a specific focus on sustainability,” writes Page Six.
Markle paired the look with a white knit top and black trousers.
She and her husband Prince Harry are in London as they wrap up their royal duties. On Saturday, the two attended the Mountbatten Festival of Music in London, with Markle looking splendid in a head-to-toe red ensemble plus a short-sleeved gown by Safiyaa, a London-basedfounded by Daniela Karnuts and named after her daughter.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will officially step down from their royal duties on March 31.
Their recent announcement that they are setting aside as senior members of the royal family to embark on a journey towards financial independence sent fans and the public alike in a limbo.
With several rumors circulating as to why Prince Harry and Markle had made that decision, the dust later settled when Queen Elizabeth announced that the family is in support of the couple’s decision though they prefer they remain as “full-time working members of the royal family.”
Despite the hullabaloo as well as the bad “tabloidy” press that has undeservedly followed the couple since their marriage in 2018, one thing’s for sure – their bond and love grow stronger by the day and we’re so here for it!
