Offset walks back on infidelity allegations he made against Cardi B, says he was drunk

In a recent appearance on Angela Yee’s Way Up with Yee podcast, Migos rapper Offset walked back on infidelity allegations he leveled against his wife Cardi B. As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, the 31-year-old in June shared an Instagram post alleging the Invasion of Privacy rapper had cheated on him.

Offset’s allegations caused his wife to hit back at him during a Twitter Space conversation, making it clear that wasn’t the case. “My wife f—-ked a N- – – a on me gang yall n—-as know how I come,” Offset claimed in the post that has since been deleted.

The Clout rapper, however, set the records straight with Yee and made it known his wife had in fact not cheated on him, PEOPLE reported. “That’s my wife. I love her to death,” Offset told the host, adding that he and his wife were involved in an argument at the time.

“If you got a New York woman, you know she’s a pitbull at the mouth,” he stated. The rapper also revealed he was drunk on Casamigos Tequila when he accused his wife of infidelity. “We crazy for each other,” he said.

Offset also said his past actions have had an effect on their union. “To be honest, I hate the fact that every time she has an issue with somebody else, they bringing me up and my past up. My past be covering up everything I done did. All this time I ain’t did nothing,” he claimed.

The two award-winning rappers started dating in February 2017 before secretly marrying in September of the same year. The June incident also added up to other cheating allegations involving the couple.

In 2018, Offset made the news after videos of him in bed with several women were circulated. Cardi B also filed for divorce in September 2020 over allegations of her husband cheating on her. The couple, however, later patched things up and called off their divorce.

“Everybody has issues,” Cardi B told Vogue in 2020 about her reason behind calling off their divorce. “I believe in forgiveness. I prayed on it. Me and my husband, we prayed on it. We had priests come to us. And we just came to an understanding like, bro, it’s really us against the world.”

“He has my back for everything, I have his back for everything, so when you cheat, you’re betraying the person that has your back the most,” she added. “Why would you do that? We have come to a clear understanding. For me, monogamy is the only way. I’ll beat your ass if you cheat on me.”
