Two iconic Pan-Africanists, W.E.B. Du Bois and Haile Selassie I passed away on this day. The former, who was also a civil rights activist, sociologist, author, writer and historian passed away in Accra, Ghana in 1963 with the latter passing away in 1975.

To celebrate their legacies and unforgettable impact towards championing a more unified and less-dependent Africa, Face2Face Africa shares with you two letters W.E.B. Du Bois sent to the then Emperor of Ethiopia.
