While Africa has produced several outstanding leaders and revered statesmen beginning from the decolonization period till date, few have distinguished themselves on the world stage. A lot of them prefer to focus on internal issues and at best, regional activities.

A daring group of African leaders however went beyond these boundaries, impacting the world through their policies, programmes and activities for good and sometimes, for bad. They were popular and known internationally, whether you hate or like them.
