Rick Ross’ classic car collection will leave you jaw-dropped [Watch]

It is common for rap celebrities to brag about cars and women. The two themes have been a feature of the rap culture since it started. Several top rap celebrities have lines in their music either boasting about their car collections or the women in their lives.

And so when it is said that celebrities love cars, it is not said in a vacuum but based on their lifestyle. Recently, rapper Rick Ross displayed his car collections on Instagram, giving credence to his popular rap lines, “New Mercedes sedan, the Lex’ sport/So many cars, DMV thought it was mail fraud” on Kanye West’s “Devil in a New Dress.”

The rapper gave his fans access to his 109-room Georgia mansion and a line-up of twelve of his car collections. Rick Ross reportedly has around 100 cars to his name but the video on his Instagram page shows twelve classic vehicles on his endless driveway.

The video starts with all the second-generation models of blue Chevrolet Bel Airs from 1955 and 1957. The video then ends with some retro trucks such as the brown and tan 1980s Chevrolet C/K with aftermarket LED headlights, according to Car Driver. [See cars here].

In a recent interview, the Florida-based rapper revealed how he can afford to have so many cars in his garage. According to him, people pay him to take pictures with his car. Rick Ross, in other words, has put the car to use in such a way that it is paying for itself. Interestingly, he is doing the same with his mansion that was used in making the movie Coming 2 America.

In March, Face2Face Africa reported the Port of Miami rapper rented out the property to be used as the palace of Zamunda for the sequel of the popular comedy movie Coming 2 America. The rapper said he has made $2.7 million from renting out the mansion to movie producers.

He also disclosed in an interview with Forbes that he saves $1 million a year in maintenance costs for his 235-acre Georgia mansion. The rapper, born William Leonard Roberts II, reportedly bought the large Fayetteville property in 2014 for $5.8m from retired legendary boxer Evander Holyfield. Besides its humongous compound, the mansion also has over 100 rooms as well as a 350,000-gallon swimming pool.

After becoming the new owner of the property, the rapper said he was constantly reminded by residents of how much Holyfield spent a year to cut the grass. And though Ross is known for rapping about doling out cash for expensive things as well as services, the 45-year-old said he also very well understands how to spend wisely.

“When I bought the Fayetteville estate, locals would see me walk out of a restaurant and scream, ‘You know Holyfield spent $1 million a year to cut the grass.’ So I decided that I was gonna cut my own grass. And that’s what I did,” the rapper said.
