Six iconic music festivals in the Caribbean you must attend in 2020

Reggae Sumfest

Dubbed the largest music festival in Jamaica, this year’s event will have six nights of activities, including an All White Blitz party, A Sound system Explosion, Beach Party and the main concert nights. To be held from July 12 to 18, the summer festival is known for electrifying performances from local and international reggae acts. Last year’s festival included the likes of Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Spragga Benz, Christopher Martin, Romain Virgo, Koffee, among others.

Vujaday Music Festival

To be held from April 1 to 5 in Barbados, Vujaday Music festival “is a thoughtfully curated selection of musical and cultural experiences that invites you to explore lush landscapes, dance on flawless palm-covered beaches and soak in translucent azure waters under a golden island sun. Ignite your sense of adventure, this is not a déjà vu; this is something you’ve never seen or felt before. This is Vujaday.”

SXM Festival

This is a boutique electronic music festival on the island of Saint-Martin in the Caribbean. Featuring top-notch DJs and international music talents, the festival focuses on “bespoke eco-centric set design” and features stages on boats, the beach, in clubs, villas, among others. The festival will take place from March 11 to 15.

TmrwTday Culture Fest

The Jamaican festival is a music, wellness and eco festival that “celebrates inward renegades like you searching for inspiration, elevation, and motivation to do and be better. It’s a wellness retreat.” This year, it will be held from April 28 to May 3, 2020.

Soul Beach Music Festival

To be held from May 21 to 25 on the island of Aruba, Soul Beach Music Festival will offer “a unique combination of excitement and sophistication nestled in an intimate setting, all on the beautiful island of Aruba.”

St. Kitts Music Festival

One of the most diverse musical events in the Caribbean, the St. Kitts Music Festival will be held from June 25 to 27 at the Kim Collins Stadium. Expect a wide range of musical styles, from reggae, soca, and calypso to R&B, blues, and jazz while you enjoy some beach celebrations and after-parties.
