Zimbabwean billionaire, Strive Masiyiwa has, once again found his place among the elite club of African billionaires with a net worth of over $2 billion. This prestigious feat comes with a surge in the market value of his publicly listed companies on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange.
Just 18 days after experiencing a $100- million decline in his net worth, Masiyiwa’s assets surged to $2 billion, exceeding its previous value of $1.9 billion, and increasing his year-to-date wealth gains to $800 million, up from $700 million in just three weeks, Billionaires Africa reported.
His sudden increase in wealth has solidified his status, not only as one of the world’s wealthiest Black billionaires but also as Southern Africa’s second-richest Black billionaire.
Forbes notes that Masiyiwa currently holds the 1,538th position on the list of the world’s wealthiest people.
He has many investments in enterprises and ventures like Econet Global Limited and Liquid Intelligent Technologies, among others, which have contributed to the growth of his net worth.
Strive Masiyiwa and his wife Tsitsi are also the founders of the Higherlife Foundation, which provides support for orphaned and impoverished children in Zimbabwe, Burundi Lesotho, and South Africa.
