A New York couple were all smiles Monday when talk show host Tamron Hall officiated their virtual wedding. Kelton Cumberbatch and Aisha Becker-Burrowes had to change their wedding plans due to the coronavirus pandemic but they surely had a memorable ceremony through the help of Hall.
The outspoken talk show host, apart from officiating their nuptials, also gave the couple an all-expense-paid honeymoon to Fiji, a trip they can make immediately the stay-at-home orders are lifted by officials.
“Love is so many things. But what we know is love can never be defeated,” Hall says in a video of the wedding posted to YouTube. “Nothing that we are experiencing on this day, in this moment, in this time, will affect your very special bond. What you have together will only continue to thrive and to grow in a beautiful way.”
The parents and families of the couple joined the ceremony via video, with their mothers helping them exchange rings.
“Your wedding rings are special,” Hall says. “They enhance who you are, they mark the beginning of your long journey together.”
“So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore, what God has joined together let man not separate,” Hall, who also helped design a picturesque backdrop for the ceremony, says after Cumberbatch and Becker-Burrowes say their vows.
