Meet Kyle D. Amaker. He is the founder and CEO of Go Black Own, LLC, an internet-related services platform for Black-owned businesses. Amaker recently made history launching an all-in-one mobile app to help and empower Black businesses. It is the first-ever all-in-one mobile app for Black-owned businesses.
The app, which is available on Apple IOS App Store and Google Play Store for free, provides Black-owned businesses a centralized platform for them to do business.
“This is a platform built for us, empowered by us,” said Amaker, according to a statement issued by Go Black Own. “No other platform on the market offers this combination of features. It is simply different.”
On the Go Black Own Mobile App, users can search for Black-owned businesses in the hospitality industry like restaurants and hotels. Other businesses in different sectors of the economy are also available for search on the App. What’s more, the app also allows users to stay current with trending news about Black-owned businesses and shop.
The app also has a unique two-way messaging system feature, which means that users can chat directly with Black business owners. It also allows users to bookmark their favorite businesses and create a wish list for products in the marketplace. People can also read real reviews.
“The marketplace is the first of its kind. Black-owned businesses now have a platform where they can sell directly to supporters, from selling their products and/or services, restaurants selling their menu items, to selling tickets to black own events. Our platform is a game-changer,” Amaker explained.
The app currently has over 7,700 Black-owned businesses with businesses added daily, the statement by Go Black Own said.
