The 33-year-old singer was recently certified by Forbes as the richest female musician in the world. Her fortune adds up to $1.7 billion, ahead of the likes of Madonna ($570 million), Céline Dion ($450 million) and Beyoncé ($400 million).
Recently, she was conferred with a national hero honour by her home nation of Barbados during the country’s historic republic declaration ceremony.
Her recent honour comes after the island nation named her as an ambassador in 2018.
