The continent is gaining ground in terms of governance, as some leaders are increasingly becoming democratic, nevertheless, corruption is still a hard nut for many of them to crack. What is worse is that most of the government appointees or public officials working with them are also indulged in the menace, with reports of having to receive bribes to get work done. The GCB report said that 34 per cent of Africans rated the President or Prime Minister’s office as corrupt.
