Barrington Irving
At 23, Barrington Irving, a Jamaican, became the youngest and first black pilot to fly solo around the world.
On March 23, 2007, Irving stepped into a single-engine plane at the Opa-Locka Airport near Miami and embarked on the round-the-world flight, making him the first African American to fly solo around the world. As of 2010, he was the youngest person to complete that feat.
