These Caribbean countries have great tourist spots but are least visited

Boasting a large membership comprising Dutch, English, French and Spanish speaking countries and territories, the Caribbean offers tourists the luxury of selecting from a wide array of destinations to experience unique cultures and traditions.

Data collated and provided by the United Nations World Tourism Organization in its Tourism Highlights for 2018 shows that the previous year recorded the highest increase in international tourist arrivals since 2010 with the Americas, which includes Caribbean countries welcoming 211 million tourists (5% increase) and making $326 billion (1% increase) in international tourism receipts.

These impressive figures, however, do not hide the fact that some Caribbean countries receive more tourists than others because of various reasons including diversity of tourism spots, tourist packages, transportation, as well as political and economic stability.

In as much as all these factors are indispensable, there are, however, some Caribbean countries that have absolutely great tourist spots but are being overlooked in preference to the popular ones, albeit they also meet some or all of the criteria stated above.

So just in case you’re looking at visiting the Caribbean sometime soon and you’re open to exploring other equally beautiful places besides Jamaica, The Bahamas, Barbados and the likes, be sure to consider these least visited destinations for a worthwhile, more reserved and not-too-crowdy experience.
