Ethiopia

The title of the king in Ethiopia is Negus, which loosely translates to ‘to reign’. Currently, it is an honorific title bestowed on governors of the most important provinces. The emperors of Ethiopia were referred to as nəgusä nägäst, which means ‘King of Kings’.
