To be the next Elon Musk, read these eight books he swears by

Many have wondered how South African-born entrepreneur Elon Musk became so successful. Musk once attributed his success to some books he read. He has been an avid reader since childhood and he claims books have fueled his ambitions.

At age 9, Musk had read the entire Encyclopedia Britannica and spent over 10 hours reading different science fiction novels, according to CNBC. No wonder he ventured into career-launching rockets and making top-notch vehicles.

The Space X and Tesla founder has seen his fortune rise to $195 billion, making him the richest man on earth, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. He overthrew Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who was the richest man in the world with a net worth of $185 billion.

If you have aspirations to be like Musk, then it is time to add the following books to your reading list. They are books he swears by that set him on his path to success.
