Upcoming Event: Spring Of The Artful Renaissance: Special benefit Reception- Ulule

The TKAFoundation or (Tomorrow’s Kaleidoscope of Artists) is a huge supporter of the arts and embarks on contributing back to charities that encourage arts education. One of the front runners of the charities we support is AKOSIA, a non-profit organization that develops, facilitates and funds summer creative projects for underprivileged children and women all over the world.

Check out www.akosia.org for more details.

For the last two summer (2009/2010) the Akosia team has been in Accra, Ghana working with the students from a school called Street Academy. This month long filmmaking program brings storytelling to life by having the kids write, direct, and produce their own two short films. It has been a roaring success! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-kfwhOjn0k)

The TKAFoundation will be joining the 2011 summer project cause to provide an engaging and eco-friendly environment where underprivileged children’s natural abilities can be expressed and nurtured.

In order to assist and run the Akosia program for it’s third consecutive year, The TKAFoundation need at least $10,000 to successfully run this program in Ghana and be able to take along with us 8 volunteers.

In preparation for our big fundraiser event, Spring of the Artful Renaissance, which will take place on May 13, 2011, we need to raise $1,000! To be able to have this event successfully done, we want to make sure we give our patrons and supporter a night that they will appreciate and enjoy as well as be moved to help with our cause in Ghana. Please help use reach our goals to make this event and the summer project a success.
