Virgil Abloh to bring back Michael Jackson in new fashion collection

Off- White Ghanaian-American designer, Virgil Abloh, is already working towards 2019 and his plans will blow your mind. If you are a fashionista or enthusiast and have not heard the name Virgil Abloh, you might have been left behind in 2017 and need a lot of catching up to do.

In October 2018, Vogue named Virgil’s Off-White designer streetwear and luxury fashion label as the world’s most popular designer brand beating big industry players like Gucci and Nike to take the title just 6 years after its launch.

The designer has had amazing 2018 teaming up with Kanye West and Louis Vuitton and having his brand worn by world icons and almost every fashion-forward lover all over the world.

In an interview with Interview Magazine, Virgil said: “My next Louis Vuitton collection is going to be based on Michael Jackson, and when I have Michael singing in the background, it’s a different type of shirt, it’s a different kind of boot, it’s a different fit of pants.”.

This was revealed while the Ghanaian-American designer shared details about the kind of music he listens to while creating fashion masterpieces. Mentioning that he listens to a lot of Michael Jackson, he also said: “I’m listening to John Coltrane. I’m listening to Miles Davis. But I’m also listening to whatever new rap is coming out that week.”

Virgil meticulously did not give out any more information about the Micheal Jackson collection as part of his collaboration with Louis Vuitton but the little news sent fans in a frenzy on Twitter.

Whatever Abloh touches turns to gold and with him drawing inspiration from the King of Pop music, we are sure the next collection will take 2019 with a storm.

Virgil Abloh is currently working as the creative advisor for sustainable innovation design for a long-term global multi-project collaboration.
