Why your marriage with Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, will fail as he seeks new wife

Women are being urged to jump at the latest opportunity of enjoying the benefits wealthy life has to offer as Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, is in search of a wife.

The 61-year-old multi-billionaire in a Financial Times interview, Lunch with FT, said that he is not getting any younger, hence, wouldn’t mind getting a new wife.

“I’m not getting younger. Sixty years is no joke. But it doesn’t make sense to go out and get somebody if you don’t have the time. Right now, things are really, really very busy, because we have the refinery, we have the petrochemicals, we have the fertiliser, we have the gas pipeline,” the founder of Dangote Group, who is twice divorced and has three daughters said.

He further talked about how he intends to make Nigeria Africa’s biggest exporter of petroleum products and his willingness to buy Arsenal Football club.

But that did not matter to many, as his desire for a new wife has rather taken centre stage in all platforms, particularly, social media.

For some, this is a great opportunity for women. But the following should make you think twice about marrying a multi-billionaire like Dangote.

1. He won’t have time for you

Dangote, in his interview, mentioned that he has a very busy schedule, taking over 100 calls per day and having to deal with loads of emails. And for a wealthy man like him, chances are he would spend more than regular hours a day and a week, without getting any time off. As his wife, he is likely not to have time for you as he will also be going on several business trips and travelling the world for work. He is likely not to find time for any children you may raise.

2. He is 61 and old

Women in their 20s who end up with men in the 60s often complain of making the biggest mistakes in their lives. They realise that they belong to different generations, ending up getting sex-starved, and not reaping the benefits of the marriage as they should. It is said that older men also find it hard to cope with young children, should this happen. A marriage to Dangote may produce similar results like those mentioned above.

3. Divorced twice

For a man who has been married twice and divorced speaks volumes about his bad history with marriage. You wouldn’t want to end up like his ex-wives, would you?

4. You will just be a housewife without a career

Your career ambitions would likely get ruined when you end up with a wealthy man as they may want you to be a housewife while they go about their work and long business trips. You will end up getting bored, depressed, and spending your whole time taking care of children, instead of being out there and doing things for your own self-esteem.

5. You will never be his number one

Before getting a rich husband, you must realise that you will never be his first priority. Work will always be above you as money is the main key. So you would probably be his number 3 or 4. Why would you want to go through all that?
