Domaine Ouled Thaleb, Benslimane

Domaine Ouled Thaleb takes its name after a local Berber group. Created in the early 1920s, the winery played a vital role reviving the Moroccan wine industry in the 1990s.

It is located between Rabat and Casablanca and the area’s cooler temperature makes the wine have a slightly different taste from that of Meknes.

Most of its wine are produced with their homegrown grapes produced with organic-farming principles and occasionally grapes are sourced from other local vineyards.

The estate has a signature wine called Ouled Thaleb Signature which infuses marselan, petit verdot, and carmenere grapes for a fruity, floral, juicy, and chocolatey taste. The winery is widely known for producing high quality olives.

The most popular Moroccan wine in the US is Syrocco but the same wine is labelled Tandem in Morocco.

There is an onsite restaurant that visitors can get comfortable and pair their meals with some of the best wines available.
