Recent data has shown that for the first time in the history of the U.S., the unemployment rate among Black Americans is below 6 per cent.
However, there are still issues about racial income inequality that need to be addressed, a new study that looked into the worst cities for black Americans has said.
Apart from the black unemployment rate always being several percentage points higher than the national average,
Black Americans are less likely to own a home, less likely to have a college education, and five times more likely to be incarcerated than the white Americans, the USA Today reports.
A study by 24/7 Wall Street examined the disparities between white and black Americans in several economic and social measures in U.S. metro areas to identify the worst cities for black Americans.
