Black army veteran loses sight after alleged brutal attack by police [VIDEO]

The police in U.S. State of Louisiana has launched investigations into claims by a black army veteran that she was beaten by the police in a brutal attack that has caused blindness in one of her eyes.

Tanisha White of Winnfield, La., usually calls for a police ride home when she is out and she did same while she was over a friend’s house Monday evening but a “misunderstanding” ensued that led to the attack.

“The police officer pulled the taser out and started shooting in my right eye,” she said. “I couldn’t see, I was screaming, it felt like I was getting electrocuted.”

According to a local station, KNOE, the incident left White severely beaten and injured as she was admitted to a Shreveport hospital where doctors treated her for several broken bones in her face and a black eye.

White’s sister, Tramika Coleman, told the local station that an officer said her sister had stumbled and hit her face on the concrete while she was trying to resist arrest.

“It just hurt my heart so much seeing her lay there when I walked in the hospital and I see her laying there,” she said. “She looked like she was in so much pain.”

After being hospitalized for three days, the victim, who suffers from PTSD, anxiety and depression, has been told that she had lost sight in her right eye.

“It’s already hard living day to day.

“I have to stay with my parents you know, so this is just going to make my life even harder,” said White.
