The former member of the popular group Destiny’s Child has spoken about her struggles with bouts of depression.
On Tuesday, Williams informed the public that she would be seeking treatment from a mental health facility. “For years I have dedicated myself to increasing awareness of mental health and empowering people to recognize when it’s time to seek help, support and guidance from those that love and care for your wellbeing. I recently listened to the same advice I have given to thousands around the world and sought help from a great team of healthcare professionals,” the singer revealed.
“I was suicidal, I was to that place where it got so dark and heavy” Williams once revealed.
She expressed how some couldn’t understand her sadness despite being a member of one music’s most successful R&B groups.
Thankfully, she’s been lauded for her fiance and former band members exhibiting self-care.
