The new generation has also been bold enough to move away from the conventional white collar jobs and venture into entrepreneurship, developing new ways of making money and attracting investment in their respective countries. As much a the road to the top is bumpy, these young Africans are defying the odds in whatever fields they choose to excel in.
A few weeks ago, Times compiled its Genius Companies list that featured top innovative and ambitious companies in the world. The list features companies like Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty, Spotify and Nike, but what’s more exciting is the number of African companies that made it.
