Menara Gardens and Pavilion
They are botanical gardens located to the west of Marrakech, Morocco, near the Atlas Mountains. They were established in the 12th century by the Almohad Caliphate ruler Abd al-Mu’min. The Menara Gardens were established around a lake, which was used to water the fruit and vegetables planted in the grounds. The most beautiful part of this site is the lake, which is presided by a pavilion. The pavilion was built by the Sultan Sidi Mohammed ibn Abdallah and it is said that this is where the sultans met their companions. Menara Gardens and Pavilion is a site for those who would want to escape the activity and noise in the city for a feel of a garden containing palms, fruit, and olive trees.
