Poem: Africa of the 22nd Century

We got them holding hands — haters of lovers, haters and lovers, along with believers
They have to keep up with the times but especially technology; do not believe her.

Arrayed with false pretenses, her happiness was like a day that comes and goes.
That first light that shone upon our Cosmos and her darkness, chilly winds blow.
Skyscrapers defined our towns and cities, monuments of their friends or your foes.

Where will we be as a People and continent, industrious or still rooted in the spiritual?
Blessed will you be in January 2100 — if still alive – you lived to be over 100 years.

Where will we be 84 years from now?
Tis we write, for the emancipation of enslaved mindsets and beliefs.

Thus we write, for one isn’t greater than the whole.
