African socialites who are making huge dollars by just showing up at events

Bobrisky

Bobrisky

Born in 1992 as Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju, Bobrisky rose to fame by being controversial on social media, particularly his skill in the use of Snapchat. The Nigerian “male Barbie” was able to gather a lot of traffic to his Snapchat account after he claimed that he had a male lover although the country’s laws frown on homosexuality. For this, he has been able to have a following of fans and critics alike to the extent that he is often asked by event planners to show up at their shows.

Bobrisky, whose net worth is estimated to be about $250,000, has in recent times been compelled to answer questions on his sexuality, especially after news broke that he could be gay or a transgender. The internet sensation, in 2017, opened up about his sexuality, saying that he was gay and had a male politician as a boyfriend.

The cross-dresser who is said to be a Muslim but loves going to church was born in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State and has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos. From October 2016 to November 2016, he was the most searched individual, according to Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, Google’s Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Anglophone West Africa.
