Travelling to Africa can be one of the fondest experiences you may ever have in your lifetime, but there are a few things to note for those of you who are just about to touch down for the first time. Being a continent rooted in traditions and culture, Africa remains one of the most conservative places on earth!
Just as there are rules to every nation you may visit, there are some taboos that are common among Africa’s many countries and cultures. These social norms may cause residents to frown upon the very acts and practices you deem as casual or even a way of life. You are bound to have an awkward or even hostile experience should you fail to take note of the items listed here in Africa’s Travel Taboo Guide.

Surprising to learn that referring to someone as black would be considered racist since > refer to myself that way.
Im afraid a number of the things on this list give a very erronous picture or "Africa" and "Africans". Africs remains a continent with 54 countries with distinct cultures. I am from one of the 54 and cannot relate to a number of things on your list: 1. Stopping a cab with left hand? Where? 3. It rude to criticize people you dont know anywhere in world. 5. Only take photos when you've made a payment?- we arent money hungry where I come from 8.?? 9. How about avoid offensive/foul language as would be done anywhere else in the world. 11, 12, 13- holding hands is PDA? Eating with you left? 14. Slight bow to your "African host"? 15. Ignorant look? 17. What is his maiden name? How would you have found her?
You are responsible for the continent the you put on the world wide web - you are responsible for the picture you paint of our continent but you do not have the right to misrepresent the facts and the reality. Do not perputuate false ideas and stereotypes for the sake of publishing content.
