On Monday, Klutch Sports announced that Bryce James, the youngest son of LeBron James, has signed a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) contract with them. Bryce, 15, joins a sports agency that also represents his superstar father.
The company, founded by LeBron’s longtime friend and sports agent Rich Paul, is one of the leading sports agencies in the United States. Besides LeBron, the agency also represents NBA superstars including Anthony Davis, John Wall, and Zach LaVine.
Per the details of the contract, Klutch Sports will take care of negotiations pertaining to endorsement deals tabled by companies for Bryce as he is in high school, CBS Sports reported. Bryce and his older brother, Bronny, are currently on the Sierra Canyon School basketball team roster. And Bryce, who is a member of the 2025 recruiting class, is yet to be rated by 247Sports or any of the leading recruiting platforms.
But that notwithstanding, a number of basketball analysts reckon Bryce could edge over his older brother talent-wise, CBS Sports reported. Bronny’s current overall player rating on 247Sports’ composite rankings is number 43. He is also rated as a four-star prospect in next year’s recruiting class.
And though Bryce is very far away from following in his father’s NBA footsteps, it is reported that the 15-year-old will possibly bag a lot of cash from NIL endorsement deals before he’s supposedly drafted. The older James brother already bagged a couple of deals. In October, Face2Face Africa reported that the 18-year-old student-athlete had signed a NIL deal with Beats by Dre.
“LeBron has been part of the Beats family since the beginning, so we had the honor of watching Bronny grow with us in an unofficial capacity,” Beats’ chief marketing officer, Chris Thorne, told The Los Angeles Times when the deal was announced. “With the NIL changes, we knew that he would be the perfect partner.”
The Beats by Dre deal also came after Bronny signed a multi-million dollar deal with Nike. Bronny inked the deal with the sportswear giant after he celebrated his 18th birthday. His father also has a partnership with Nike.
