This Hollywood talent agent designed a film distribution and streaming platform to support minority Indie filmmakers

Meet Tiauna Jackson, the mastermind behind Jacksmacked, a black-owned film distribution and streaming platform in America. The platform offers an opportunity for indie filmmakers worldwide, with a specific emphasis on empowering international filmmakers of color.

Tiauna set up the company after recognizing the creative talents and untapped potential of indie filmmakers, particularly international filmmakers of color, worldwide. She conceptualized Jacksmacked as a platform to not only show the exceptional work of black talents, but to also connect them with audiences yearning for fresh, inclusive content, according to Black News.

The company flows from her vision and commitment to championing the course of the underrepresented, underestimated, and underserved.

The renowned Hollywood talent agent designed the platform to address the pressing need for diverse and underrepresented stories, aiming to revolutionize the industry and provide a platform for filmmakers who have historically faced challenges in the mainstream, according to Black News.

She aims to enrich the film landscape and cater to the growing demand for stories that represent how diverse the world is. Jacksmacked offers momentum and amplifies the need for voices and stories. The formal launch of the company will signify an important history in the industry to reshape the narrative and empower filmmakers of color on a global scale

Today, Jacksmacked has secured significant distribution partnerships with prominent industry players, including Tubi, FireTV, TCL, and For Us By Us Network. The partnership will enable filmmakers of color to gain exposure and make substantial revenue.

“We firmly believe that every filmmaker’s story deserves to be heard, and every creator, especially those from historically marginalized communities, deserves an equal opportunity to share their vision with the world,” Tiauna said.

“Through our groundbreaking platform, we aim to empower international indie filmmakers of color, providing them with a global stage to captivate new audiences, gain recognition, and make a lasting impact with their films.
